Dear Samsung users. Just take note your s24 doesn't have WiFi 7 enable. Although advertised

a youtuber commented they tested S24 Ultra with many different wifi7 ap/routers all did not work.

but they noted that wifi7 worked on other brand smartphones... just not the samsung specifically the S24 Ultra. They are also left in the dark as to why that is. The only thing we know, this model does not have working wifi 7 speculation it's a firmware issue. And that other brands wifi 7 work in Malaysia.

Just checking. Do you already have wifi 7 enabled on your S24? I notice there's a button in developer section to enable it. 1726121425371_1726121425364_0.jpg

just an update

latest S24 Ultra firmware update now added working wifi 7 for malaysia model.

however, i noticed it was on 5ghz, not on 6ghz. So not sure what that is about.

But what this means is, though my eap-773 wifi7 ap supports 6ghz, i could not connect it to that band to get the best wifi 7 speeds possible.

not sure if its misconfiguration on my wireless ap, or the smartphone? if anyone else can confirm working 6ghz on wifi7 and share their speed test, would be helpful.

Just an update.

i got Wifi7 6ghz 320mhz to work for the S24 Ultra (malaysia model) to tplink EAP-773 for wifi7.

what i had to do, was login to omada controller to configure the wireless setting for the ap, to optimize wireless settings. Once i did that, it then correctly used the 6ghz 320mhz for wifi7.

as for performance, it did hit 2000 mbps dl/ul in directline of sight and at 5meters distance.

anyway it's working, just wanted to clarify.

Nice. It took them so long to enable wifi 6e. From s21ultra to s23u (almost s24u), that's like 2 years plus delay.

You need a Wifi7 supported router first..

if you have one,

set the encryption in WPA3 mode only..

then reconnect..

try to seperate wifi mode 2.4G and 5G, change it to WPA3..

then reconnect.. 😎

I just got my new package from time internet with wifi7 bundle. Sadly the router interface is too simplify that I was unable to separated 5ghz and 6ghz. Anyone have any idea how to do it  as I can only access my 5ghz but not 6ghz.
