My s25 ultra started getting hot since 2 weeks ago while playing games. This has not happened before since I got it. My s23 ultra was also not getting hot and I used that for 2 years

Same for from my S25 U but i think its normal when playing games most of the time, some phones heat up when playing big games, you can cool the phone again when you exit the game.

The games are just those casual idle games. Not big games

Still normal tho, i play sometimes in YT apps and sometimes it gets hot depends on the app that require to run smoothly. No need to worry about those they are totally fine, because those processors are working. Sometimes phone heats up because of poor ventilation like for example placing in a cloth like a object that blocking its ventilation something like that, it will heat up. Normal usage temp while using, for example in my S25 U is 30°C to 28°C. when gaming it heats up to 38°C to 40°C when use for too long. But when i dont use it, it cools down to 22°C
As you mention you don't have some big games and your phone still heats up, it may affect and damage the battery slowly overtime. Best way is to limit some apps that overheats it like minutes or something more? Or maybe go to a area that has a cooler place to counter it. Its the internet people from the same problem as yours as a advice not coming from mine, but i believe they have a point.

Yes, there are times when it's just sitting there and when I pick up it's hot and no apps are open
