Galaxy SCould be a dirty sensor, check to see if it's clean, but you can go to Samsung Members app > Get Help > Diagnostics & Select the Camera & See if you get any errors?

Galaxy SHi Andrew1967, I suggest you reset your camera. The Samsung Galaxy Camera allows you to reset the camera application settings back to their default values.
To reset the camera application settings:
1. Open the camera application.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Tap General.
4. Select Reset and Yes.
This Tap option will reset only the settings for the camera application. It will not impact the settings for the Galaxy Camera operating system and it will not remove any of your personal information from the camera.
Thank you for the response and appreciate your time RedDogRabbit.
