Ok. What is the consensus? Are you running Optimized or in High Performance Mode ? Do you shift in and out of modes depending on your planned use ?

Thanks in advance for your comments.

Just switched back to optimized and will check my battery usage again after a few days. I never noticed any difference before.

no it goes for all apps, preloaded or downloaded. in optimized mode it monitors how your device and it will make recommendations after a while to put some apps or services to sleep. how ever you can make some customizations to the optimized mode if you want. but the apps and services you use all the time it will leave it alone.

I agree with this post 💯!

Also putting apps to sleep helps. don't put apps that you need push notifications into sleep always mode though.

Depends on usage and apps used. I also use optimize with adaptive power saving. I turn off optimization on apps I need notifications for (email, SMS, etc).

@GG2 - optimized mode needs at least several days to be effective I would go as far to say a week to be safe and to get the full effect.

absolutely disagree. I have s9 and use medium battery saving, but with wqhd. There is absolutely no difference if you are still on the same cpu speed limit for high performance and optimized. in general, high performance just increases your brightness. nothing much
