For me, the best s series phone Samsung ever made was the s9. I recently purchased a used premium unit from shoppee for around 500 ringgit with the snapdragon 845 chipset.

I can't believe how lightweight and compact it is. The speakers sound full and when compared to my s23, friends agree the s9 sounds a lot better. The 2k screen is sharp and vivid. There is a notification light whose colour can be customizable for different apps. Fingerprint sensor works perfectly, together with Intelligent scan using face and iris scanner. No cut out hole to disturb video watching.

The only thing I need now is to replace the battery. Because the security is outdated, I am using my s23 for banking apps and a Hotspot for my s9. Who needs a foldable when you can have a detachable. 😋

New phones are coming out every month and really don't act as an incentive to upgrade. They all feel almost the same.

If only Samsung would take a leaf out of Apple and HMD and resurrect the s9 with new tech while keeping the form factor.

If you're a tech enthusiast, the s9 is worth a revisit.

Here's a sunrise picture from the s9, a 6 year old phone.

I had the s9 plus too but I think the compact form of the s9 contributes to the fullness of sound in the s9. The screen is also sharper.

Really wish Samsung would revisit it. Everything has plateaued. There are so many good ideas from the past that have been abandoned.

I've traded in my s23 for pixel 9. Still pairing my s9 with it. A lot to like about the pixel.😊
