I have an S23FE UI 5.1 Android 13 My Files App Version 14.5.00.15.

Can anyone confirm for me, is My Files App functional to add and locate local area network shared storage?

On my phone, I can only access Cloud Storage and Device Storage. The settings or options in My Files does not show an option to Add a network location, yet Network Storage category shows in my list along with Internal, One Drive, and Google.

Thanks in advance!

I don't know what the My Folders app is - could find it on Samsung Store or Google Play Store.

Samsung My Files app will let you connect to network storage. I'm using it to connect to a location via SMB.

This is what My Files home page looks like for me. You select Network Storage and from there you can add remote storage via different connection methods a shown in the screenshot.

Thanks RobertZ. My old phone provided exactly as you've replied. My new phone, new software versions does not provide any of the options to add network storage. Selecting Network Storage popsup connecting to Galaxy to download necessary app, then pops up unable to connect to server. Something is very messed up.

Yeah, I think you might have to update the app to add network storage feature. If I remember correctly, selecting network storage prompted to update the app to add that feature.

Maybe clear the app data and try again.

My version of the app is 15.0.00.58.

There's more than enough information to answer the question, if you know the product.

Helenna, I just got this new phone. I am connected with Bell Canada. I wish to find someone also using the same phone, same provider, same My Files App to determine if they get funtionality to add network storage location from their phone. I am very familiar using My Files with older Samsung phones and previous My Files versions. I am concerned that I am not able to connect to local area network storage.

Hi Helenna - the thread below has grown a little and others have reported the same issue. Is this something Samsung can assist with?
