Samsung chat support in a nutshell

Item manufactured on 07/01/2019, warranty covers up to 5 years after manufacture date but Samsung chat told the customer the warranty ended 09/30/2020 (14 months after the manufactured date). 

This is how Scamsung treated their customers.

To begin with, why is it the manufacture date?

Every warranty that I've ever heard of, starts from the purchase date.

That's just bonkers!

Shocking. I am lurking in here since ages and read the many issues of samsung support but this time I just laugh at how samsung chat reps can yet again say one thing and its complete opposite and back again within two minutes.

Hi, Samsung provides 12 months of manufacturer warranty and the device must be purchased from a Samsung authorized Canadian retailer.

The device must not have any physical/Liquid Damages/software modification/cosmetic Damages for it to be covered by the Samsung 1 year limited parts and labor manufacturer's warranty.

For Home appliances, and applicable models they carry 5 years parts and labour for mentioned parts as per the unit user manual.
