Samsung Galaxy S21 5G - Green Vertical Line on Screen

This morning I woke up and while scrolling on my phone for a few minutes, a green vertical line suddenly appeared on the screen. The phone hasn’t been dropped or hit by anything.

I tried restarting the phone and uninstalled the last app I used before the green line appeared, but the line remained. I checked online, but there don’t seem to be any solutions yet. One user mentioned that the S20+ series has a tendency to develop this issue after a software update, and another user noted there was a Free Screen Replacement program for this problem. I update my phone whenever the system requests it, and I wish the Screen Replacement program were available for this issue.

I contacted Samsung’s online chat. Following the agent’s instructions, I switched to Safe Mode but the green line was still there. The agent said there isn’t a Free Screen Replacement program for this issue as far as he knows, and advised me to visit a nearby customer service center.

I know that screen replacement can be expensive. This is my third Samsung phone, and if there’s no satisfactory resolution from Samsung, it may be time to switch to another brand.

Same here... It seems like lately, Samsung member's forum has been saturated with reports of display issues, particularly from S20-S22 users... 😔. I sent mine to the service centre for diagnosis and escalation to Samsung Malaysia and they refused to replace my screen unless I paid the full price for a new display despite knowing that it was a factory defect.
