Galaxy SSo after being proactive and updating my phone early to Samsung's latest OneUI patch, I was rewarded with my screen becoming unresponsive. Mind you, the phone is still completely functional, it connects to Wi-Fi and has background processes active. However, the screen will not react to my touches. I am stuck on my lock screen, with no ability to interact with my phone, other than holding the side buttons. As a side note, I am not using a screen shield or anything that would obstruct my finger from my phone screen. It was working fine before the update. I am using a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G, updating from OneUI 6.0 to 6.1.
I had talked to Samsung Care support, who was of little help in trying to troubleshoot the issue.
I have managed factory reset the phone through the android safe mode (the menu you get from turning the phone off and back on while holding the power and volume keys).
But now my phone sits on startup screen, still unresponsive as earlier. Any suggestions on what I should do next?

Galaxy SI think the update either damaged hardware or turned the touch feature OFF/ Factory RESET DOES NOT RESTORE>
How the CEO can say they have never heard of it. Well, send me a shipping invoice and you will get this phone SHIPPPED TO YOU SO YOU CAN SEE YOUR SELF Mr. CEO.

Galaxy SHi Samsung,
I have also updated my S21 with the 6.1 update. Phone screen is now completely unresponsive, as with most other comments here the screen was working fine before the update. All troubleshooting suggestions have been trying with no success.
Can you please advise how to roll back the update or other solution not already listed.
Kind regards,

Galaxy SI had the same issue, erased my phone remotely using 'find my phone' and reset factory settings, it still did not help

Galaxy SI'm having this same issue after updating the One UI this morning, I have tried clearing cache and rebooting using safe mode and rebooting from recovery mode but nothing works. Screen is completely unresponsive even though the actual phone is still functioning fine outside of touch

Galaxy SExact same issue. Took it for a "free" diagnostic at a service center. They charged me $25 to tell me to buy a new $399 screen and that MIGHT fix the issue. That was not a solution to Samsung bricking the phone after an update. Only a mouse or S Pen works. Touch screen is completely unresponsive after update. Used it just fine all morning. Got the notification/reminder to update, so I did. Now I can't use my phone.
