Hi everyone,

I'm writing this to let everyone know that there's an issue when you try to take close-up photos of texts, documents, or books. You can see a banana-shaped/circular blur mostly at the top or on the edges.

This is very disappointing for a flagship/expensive phone.

My phone is still under warranty, but I don't know if the Samsung service center will accept this issue or deny it, as I've read on other Samsung forums.

So please be wary of buying this phone. I also read that this issue is present on the S22 - S24 series. This is a hardware defect!

Check the images below to see for yourself; this is not acceptable for the price you're paying for this phone.

Great job, Samsung!

I'll try that. Thank you!

I just hope they fix or replace this phone and don't deny it, like I've read on other Samsung forums.

Why not use the "scan" feature to take pictures of books? It will be better, even the shadows will be removed and all will be clear

Even if you scan it, it still has the blur. Kindly check the scanned image.20240618_184039_1000002604_1718707262.jpg

You're lucky! I believe not all S23/S23+ users are affected by this banana blur issue.
