Galaxy SOn Monday Samsung started pushing the update to One UI 6.1.1 to the Galaxy S23 family in Europe, India, and other markets. Today the company has suspended the rollout for the Galaxy S23 Ultra. The reason is a bug that is causing ghosting in pictures captured at zoom levels between 16x and 19.9x. This issue doesn't affect any other phones, so only the rollout for the S23 Ultra was halted.
The company is currently working on addressing the issue. Once it's done that, it will re-release the update with it fixed. Right now it's unclear how long this will take, but hopefully it won't be more than a few days, a week at most.
While Samsung does that, if you have an S23 Ultra and it presents the aforementioned issue, you can temporarily work around it by going to the camera app's settings, tapping Intelligent optimization, and switching to the Medium quality setting, as portrayed in the screenshots above.
As you may have thought, this will reduce image quality slightly, so if you don't ever go into the 16x to 19.9x zoom range it's recommended to leave it on Maximum. You can also use Samsung's Expert RAW camera app which isn't affected by the bug.

Galaxy S
Well, it happens on the S24 Ultra too. The S23 and S24 base and Plus models are the only phones not affected by this issue.
Luckily for me, I don't have this kind of particular issue.
