Galaxy SI posted previously about Samsung's international warranty - or lack thereof. I live in Canada, but while traveling in Europe last year, my beloved S20 was stolen. I bought an S21 Ultra at the Samsung store in Budapest, and it's never worked right (drops audio, crashes during video calls).
Back home, I contacted Samsung. Not only will they not cover it, they are not even *able* to order the parts to repair it, even if I pay for it.
So I'm SOL. I just dropped $1500 on the highest end phone a few months ago and it's basically out the window.
A company that cares about it's customers should have offered me a replacement, due to their inability to fix it.
I have been a loyal Galaxy customer since S4, but I have to make the switch now. I guess it's a Pixel for me.
Samsung, get your act together. It's not my fault my phone was stolen, or that European Galaxies have different chipsets. If you can't repair, you should replace.

Galaxy SThat's not the point - I am willing to pay for a repair. They can't do it. And even if I was aware, my phone was stolen, I had no choice.
It is not my fault that my phone was stolen, or that Samsung chooses to use different chipsets in different regions. My point is this: if they are UNABLE to repair, they should offer a replacement.

Galaxy SHi, If the device was purchased in Canada then Samsung Canada would have provided you with further options. In this case, please contact the place of purchase for futher options.

Galaxy SThey literally said that their Canadian device was stolen while they were in Europe & purchased a replacement there, in Europe.

Galaxy SThe place of purchase was Budapest, Hungary. I am in Canada. What do you think they will say? This is not helpful.

Galaxy SI live in Canada but come from England and I used to go back 3 or 4 times a year, I was interested in a galaxy watch when they istcame out and they were alot cheaper in the UK than here, fortunately for me asked on here before I bought and was told no warranty is only good for the country where the product was purchased.
Shame, but that's the way Samsung operates.

Galaxy SI will add to this story: As I said, my phone was purchased in Hungary, but I live in Canada. I took a trip to Spain recently and tried to have my phone repaired there. I booked a pick-up-drop-off repair with Samsung in Madrid. They picked up my phone, dropped it off. Never communicated anything with me - and did not fix my phone.
So I don't think I even trust Samsung to repair this phone, even at place of origin.
As I said, IF THEY CAN'T REPAIR, THEY SHOULD REPLACE.

Galaxy SBut if you were willing to pay for a repair, why not take it to literally any repair shop instead?
They would have no problem ordering parts.
But I'm sure if you email Samsung European customer service they will try and do something, it just won't be immediately.
But no one made you buy this phone in Europe either. Cheap temporary phones are not hard to find.
