Anyone having problems with finger print reader with screen protector  will not register fingerprint?  Screen protector  is s22 compatible.

What brand screen protector are you using? 

Whitestone Dome tempered glass screen protectors work perfectly with the underscreen FP sensor.

Try to register your fingerprints again and make sure your Touch Sensitivity is turned on in display settings.

Tried but took several tries to register print, will not recognize after. Thanks for the suggestion.

Then as @RedDogRabbit mentioned, it's most probably your screen protector.

Do either of these use an edge to edge liquid adhesive?

I couldn't find "pure shield" on Amazon & I only found "ishieldz", but the only Tempered Glass screen protectors that I have tried, and absolutely don't have any issues with the FP scanner, is Whitestone Dome.

Can you post a screen shot, or a link to the one you are using?

But I strongly suspect that the issue is the screen protector you have.

Only have I Shield box, went back to store they replaced the I shield with zagg invisishield, got name wrong. Did not see them applying any adhesive. Are the Whitestones hard to apply?

You should watch the installation video a couple of times before you install it, but it's not hard. 

plastic, vinyl & patterned screen protectors generally cause issues with the underscreen FP sensor.

Whitestone Dome isn't cheap, but it's definitely worth the price. It's real tempered glass & feels like it. 

I wouldn't ever use anything else. 

Just remember how much the phone cost, & Whitestone is cheap in comparison!
