Scammed!!

Bought a S23 Ultra 1Tb for a bargain price off marketplace - with the original JB Hifi receipt!! Thought that was a positive. Showed me the imei number on the box, searched it to show me it wasn't stolen or blocked.

Wouldn't sync with my calendar. Couldn't get it to connect to Android Auto, most apps weren't available on this model.

Took it to my Samsung service centre to get to the bottom of my issues - they tell me it's a Korean model. 

Serial no matches the receipt but the imei doesn't match. Very expensive paper weight.

Why didn't you check the imei on phone? The imei on box is easy to fake.

I bought the apple pencil 2 from ebay last week, it was 99% like real apple pencil. It even had tilt sensitive. But it doesn't have pressure sensitive as pressure sensitive is hard to check. I checked all details, even I open the tip of the pencil and found no serial number on the tip. Ended up with opening a case in ebay and got back my money. Then I have a fake apple pencil to use haha

Apparently that can be fake, I called Samsung with the IMEI NUMBER and told me it is legitimate but it become that it is not.

It's still possible to use it. I am just changing over to a new phone from a J8 dual sim, kogan supplied, I have had for around 4 years. Kogan unlocked to Asa/Oceana and I subsequently changed to international settings.
My problems, initially able to set up Volte but it disappeared.
Wi-fi Calling, somehow set it up but subsequently I can identify it but no access to wi-fi calling settings but it indicates active. No warranty support from Samsung

Follow on, been good value, took and used internationally mostly UK. Only potential problem is if the model supports 5G as Australian model suits Aus gov odd 5G. But it probably does, especially as providers are currently converting some frequecies over to 5G, so if not now when those conversions are implemented it is likely to allow 5G for those frequencies then.

You might be able to get the other IMEI blocked making scammers lose out.
