Screen door effect on my S23 Ultra

my s23 ultra has screen door effect only in low light scenes in movies or photos when it's any shade above pure black. it's very hard to capture using my friend's phone (I need a magnifying glass tbh 😅)

I hope it's a display driver issue or gamma issue or whatever that can be fixed via software update. I'd hate to return it. is this effect natural on AMOLED displays and I'm going crazy thinking it's a fault? my friend can't perceive it. but dragging a dark photo around there's an overlay of a grid. it makes the screen look low res

try use 1440p/WQHD+

it is on 1440p. the effect persists when I lower it to 1080p too.

Based on what you've described, I recommend for you to head into your nearest authorised service centre with your proof of purchase so that we can take a closer look into this. Please be aware that due to our Privacy Policy, your device may be factory reset before being assessed. I highly recommend backing up your device via Smart Switch, OneDrive and/or Google to ensure none of your data is lost.

hi Claudette. see my latest post. the technician couldn't replicate the issue. I'm waiting for the case manager to call me. do you think an exchange will be offered?
