Samsung's Sticker feature just useless at doing what it's name promises. It generates a Sticker, then puts it on a black background and only allows you to send it as a photo. Is there any updates for that.

Depends on the sticker you choose.

Here's a screen shot that I edited with Samsung's Gallery editor.

The smiley face & the squiggly line. Some have colour & some are white with a black background.. I didn't explore all the possibilities.

There's a Samsung photo sticker section on the Samsung keyboard. Use that section to make them when you want to send them in Samsung messages and it also correctly in Google messages.1712954660647.jpg

It only sends as a proper sticker in Samsung messages as of now all other messaging apps will send it with a black background as a photo

Google Messages with SwiftKey keyboard, sends animated stickers.

For example, this penguin sticker is rocking from side to side.

Oh, that's so cute! 😍 I also like the stickers or emojis in Telegram because they're also animated. However, the Samsung stickers don't do any of that, and for now, they only work properly as static stickers proprietary to Samsung messages. I'm tempted to switch to Google messages because I think the features are better right now. 🤔 I've never used Google messages nor SwiftKey keyboard before even though I have them downloaded on my phone cause I always just assumed I'd get the best continuity and features from Samsung everything but now I'm not so sure

Well, even Samsung's Moderators are recommending people to switch to Google Messages...

I have tried Samsung Messages, but I've always used Google's Messaging app. I think that Samsung is stepping aside from their Messaging app anyway.

RCS (Rich Communication Services) is the next evolution of SMS/MMS (even though RCS isn't new). I think that Samsung isn't interested in reinventing the wheel.

Google is also working with Apple to effectively enable RCS with iPhones later this year.

😱What? I thought Samsung had RCS always baked into their chat messages for a few years now!?!? 🤔 🤦🏾 ♀️
