Anyone else experiencing terrible battery life after the update, honestly its samsungs fault to compete in slim and light race, until carbon silcone technology are ready and completly save they should care less about slim and light weight, Chinese company are carrying carbon silcone technology and they don't have stylus support, Samsung has to take that into account, you look and apple and google they don't care about slim and lightweight where samsung has been to obsessed, with tab s11 series they were to desprite to get it down to 5.1mm from 5.4 mm which is plenty thin enough and you honestly can barely tell and in a larger screen its even less relevent, its just a cash grab business and trying to increase their profit margin get you to purchase new accesories because the 3 pin locations have switched due to this terrible decision if just shaving 0.3mm and the bluetooth spen or magnetic slot got taken away where the tab s9 and s10 fe spen no bluetooth but still has a back magnet to secure the spen and with the keyboard case it stays secure where side mounted more chances of losing it and thats what they want they made it like iPad. There 10 inch tri fold, 5600mAh battery, no spen support no flex mode what is this its a 10" device and it doesn't have spen support just so they could shave new mm off, its doesn't have to be 3.9mm it could've been 5.4mm, no one asked for slim and lightweight and funtionality over it, if they can manage to maintain all ths funtionality here and there shave 0.2-0.3mm no problem, we don't need paper thin and this whole qi wireless charging hype indicated the sign and we kinda already new it wad gonna happen that they will eventually go wireless amd the ztri fold is on the edge it just fits the usb c port, I don't want it too go where the amount of accesories that use usb, we wouldn't be able to used wired accesories and will be forced bluetooth for everything and its cash grab business where these companies will charge us $200-$300 on their pro wireless charging pad and advise us against $40 micelenious charging to protect out battery

Hello Qwer123, I hear you, a lot of meaningful points here, and I appreciate you taking the time to lay them out. Battery life and design trade-offs are definitely hot topics after any major update, and it’s completely fair to feel frustrated when your device suddenly isn’t performing the way it did before.

From what I’ve seen across the community (and from personal experience), some users are noticing temporary battery drain right after the update, which can happen while the system re-indexes, optimizes apps, and rebuilds background processes. It usually settles after a few days, but not always and that’s exactly the kind of feedback Samsung takes seriously. Keep using your device as you normally would so it understands your usage.

Regarding the slimness trend, well Samsung tries to offer premium builds without removing core functionality like the S Pen ecosystem, but of course those decisions won’t land perfectly for everyone. Feedback like yours genuinely helps shape future models and priorities.

If the battery drain hasn’t stabilized after a few days, a couple things you can try that have helped others:

- Clear cache partition (post-update this can make a big difference)

- Check for apps stuck in high usage under Device Care

- Reset adaptive battery data to re-train usage patterns

- Send an error report through Samsung Members so the dev team can investigate the post-update behavior directly from your logs

You’re absolutely not alone in your concerns, and discussions like this are important for moving the platform forward. Thanks for sharing your experience so honestly it helps all of us in the community.

Hi qwer123,

Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback regarding battery performance and design decisions following the recent update. We understand your concerns about the balance between device thinness, functionality, and overall usability.

You have highlighted several important points:

  • The reduction in thickness from 5.4 mm to 5.1 mm on the Tab S11 series, which you feel offers little practical benefit while impacting functionality.

  • The removal or alteration of features such as the Bluetooth S Pen, magnetic slot placement, and accessory compatibility.

  • Concerns about battery capacity, particularly in larger-screen devices, and the trade-offs made to achieve slimmer designs.

  • The potential shift toward wireless-only accessories and charging, which may increase costs and reduce flexibility for users who rely on wired connections.

We acknowledge that these changes can affect the user experience, especially for those who prioritize battery life, stylus support, and accessory compatibility over incremental reductions in device thickness. Your perspective underscores the importance of maintaining functionality and reliability as core priorities, rather than focusing solely on design aesthetics.

Your feedback will be shared with the relevant teams to ensure that user expectations and practical needs are considered in future product development. We sincerely appreciate your loyalty and the time you have taken to provide such comprehensive input.
