Hi all. Interested to know if we purchased devices under installment from Umobile, will the device be locked?

you may want to check with umobile itself.

as it is decided by umobile to lock or unlock the mobile.

Normally, for device under Installment by the telco, the phone is locked.

From what I know, Malaysia devices are unlocked version. Plus, if you think about it, even if you change a sim card to a different telco, you still need to serve monthly installment, right? 😉

they will lock thru one of imei number, if got dual sim highly useable one of the slot 🤭🤭🤭

but unless for samsung phone if they lock thru samsung knox, nothing that you can do at all unless you settle all the bills and finish the contract
