Galaxy SI have always been a big fan of Samsung phones, eversince I first got my first flagship phone (Samsung S9+) and was a big fan of the Samsung brand.
But I never thought I will be as disappointed and saddened this time around. I invested on my next flagship phone, Samsung S23 Ultra, after my Samsung S9+ retired after giving me 5-6 years of the best experience with Samsung products.
The disappointment came when I was scrolling, my phone's screen started to flicker unprompted and turned into a green screen, rendering it unusable. I heard about it being a known issue since S20 and I did believe that Samsung is taking care of its customers since it was what I have experienced previously. Even in India right now, people are experiencing the same disappointment I have encountered.
But Samsung did a compromise in their country to cover such, and even granting their loyal customers the opportunity to have their phones repaired for free of charge for parts that are known to have caused this failure, paying only the labor costs of replacement, until December 31, 2025. You may see articles about it with a quick google search.

After going to an Authorized Samsung Service Center, I have been asked to pay the amount of PHP 10,690.00, to have it repaired but to reiterate, the green screen occurred unprompted during a leisure scroll. Also, the device had this known issue about the screens and yet the Authorized Center is asking us to pay for what is a known issue among the Samsung S-series (started in S20.)
They even acknowledged it previously in the S20 series, as you see in this post:
They have implemented Right Care Day and free-of-charge replacements before up to S22 series, but now, since there are a growing number of reported cases for S23 series, they are keen to acknowledge and resolve this.
A disappointment growing in from all the loyal customers of Samsung. At this point, I feel like it's not becoming worth it at all to invest in Samsung products if they would just blame their own loyal customers for an issue clearly found within their device.

Galaxy SI think the DTI should step in as well sa ganitong concern considering that these kind of concerns appears to be a defective component of the product.
Potentially, a class action complaint might also trigger DTI's avenue for this kasi even if you purchase Samsung Care plus, pero maximum is 2 years lang coverage, they would not even cover this kind of concern.
But you can see way back in 2021, they have acknowledged this flaw kasi they had the Samsung Care + and Right Care Day to accommodate this kind of grievances.
Hope Samsung considers valuing their customer base, otherwise, I concur na di na worth mag invest with Samsung.

Galaxy SNakaka disappoint talaga. 😓
Nag contact ako sa Customer Support and they told me to have it checked sa Authorized Service Center nila. Samsung take care of US na customers nyo dito sa Philippines.
