Hello Samsung Community,

I’m writing to share my experience and seek support regarding a display issue on my Galaxy S22 Ultra.

On 28th August 2025, while watching a video on my phone, I was shocked to see a vertical green line suddenly appear on the screen. I’ve taken good care of the device, and it has never been dropped or physically damaged. I purchased the phone in June 2022, so I’m aware that it’s out of warranty now.

After researching online, I found that this issue is common among S series devices and has been acknowledged by Samsung in the past. I also learned that Samsung had run a replacement campaign for affected users. However, when I visited a Samsung service center, I was told that the campaign period has ended and that I would need to pay ₹25,000–₹30,000 for a display replacement.

I understand warranty limitations, but this seems to be a manufacturing defect that many users have faced. Given the premium price of the S series, I believe customers should be entitled to a free replacement of faulty components, regardless of warranty status—especially when the issue is widespread and not caused by user damage.

I’m reaching out here in hopes that Samsung will reconsider and offer support for affected users like me. A flagship device should not suffer from such issues after just a few years of normal use.

what can i say pay it for screen replacement, nothing else

invested to much to buy this and now again i cant invest on the device which is not effected by my usage it was unexpected and utterly dissappointing. for an update ,now one more green line has emerged

What to do ? my phone S22 ultra is 3 years 2 months old.  Service centre people are saying to by new display for 24000.00 as I have updated the new software and getting green line issue.
