Voice Typing

For months now I've been having a lot of problems with voice typing. I have it set for Google voice typing with the Samsung voice input turned off. But it works intermittently. Sometimes I have to say what I want typed multiple times before it happens. And sometimes there is a big delay in my words appearing.

Is this a phone issue or a google issue? Or maybe an internet issue...because it works when on data or airplane mode...just not when connected to WiFi.

Hi Deedee29, try my suggestion.

Open Settings → Apps → 3 dots on top right →Show system apps →Samsung Voice Input

click disable

Now,you can do the voice typing and this will use Google voice only.

okay. I have disabled Samsung voice input. We will see if it works

I hope it works but he says he set for Google voice typing with the Samsung voice input turned off...We'll see...

@Cassidy, turn off won't work. He needs to disable it.

Unfortunately disabling voice input didnt work.
its a bit better but there is still a delay happening intermittently

it worked for a bit but then went back to getting delays and working intermittently
