With a recent update to S22 the voicemail notification remains on with an empty voicemail box.  The Phone Services app will not clear cache nor data.  The Home Screen swipe down New Voicemail message will not swipe to delete it.  Apps reset did not fix it.  I am seeing that even a Factory Reset does not solve the problem.  Is there any solution or is this something Samsung and Android need to add to a future update to solve?  New Voicemail Notifications are useless if the icon remains and the notification bar does not clear.  Any suggestions?

Contact your Carrier to get them to remove it.

Normally, just checking your voicemail should remove it, but it's generated by your Carrier.

Hi, we appreciate your efforts in trying all the possible ways to disable the voicemail notification on the device.

Voicemail services are controlled by your network provider.

As adviced by RedDogRabbit, please contact your network provider to remove it.

Having the same problem for months with my S23+. Actually sent it in for service to Samsung for a different issue and they couldn't fix it either. Contacted my carrier. Got punted away by them (thanks Rogers). So I've just learned to live with the fact that I'll forever have a new voicemail. Sorry. Hope this helps.

Contact Rogers again, and ask to speak to a Supervisor in Tech Support.

The Notification is from your Carrier (Rogers), and they can remove it, removing your Voicemail from your plan & Adding it back would be one way to do it.

There's probably a better way, but this is the most obvious to me at the moment.

Will do. Thanks RDR. It should be noted I have a voicemail to text add on to my plan. It just occured to me that that might be an issue as well.

@ejbpesca do you have any advanced voicemail features such as visual voicemail or voicemail to text etc... I have voicemail to text which means I get a text message with an audio recording of the voicemail as well as a transcript right in my messages app. Deleting the message does not delete the voicemail I have to manually go into my voicemails still to delete them. Just wondering if that could be a problem for us both.
