I'm feeling pretty discouraged about the One UI 7 update 😔. It's frustrating not getting a clear answer about the release. Has anyone else experienced this lack of communication? This waiting game is really starting to drag on. I hope we get some news soon🤞
I look at comments like this with some questioning as to why such an update is so important. I can understand the keeness to experience something new but unless new features are game changers in terms of a specific feature changing your life style, why so much nonsenical fuss when there is a delay. Yes it is disappointing but sheesh.
As someone with ADHD, waiting is incredibly difficult. It makes me want something new to focus on immediately. The best thing that helps me is to avoid agonizing anticipation.
And I don't mean to be rude, but they never finished the beta testing prior to the S25 series launch, since they obviously wanted to keep some things quiet. I believe there will be 1 more beta build dropped to fixed a screen colour issue (or something like that), so better to get that fixed before sending it out to the public.
On s25u and I can tell you, one UI 7 ain't all that. Enjoy 6 while you can. Too many features removed which interrupts muscle memory of what we are used to within the UI
- Media controls no longer in the notification panel, it is tucked away in the quick settings. Which in itself is not that customisable. - Now bar is useless and less intuitive for media playback. It's actually annoying compared to what we had before. - Notification icons on the lockscreen are now top left rather than in the centre (only card option is available) - Notifications are bulky and ugly in the notification panel. One UI 5 perfected this.
Alot of the things I have issues with are in the notification and quick settings. There's many Reddit threads on these too.
Change is good when it's for the best, not for the sake of it. Anyway we'll see if Goodlock has some fixes up it's sleeve when it's released.
