I noticed something today. When i click on a widget it keeps loading forever. This happens on my S20 and my S6 Lite tablet.
It doesn't matter what widget but it's all widgets. I've done the restarting function and also did the " Partition/Cache" clearing but nothing works. And, i even deleted the Apps and reinstalled them, but no change.
Wierd.
My IOS devices work fine, its just the Android devices that are affected.
I've actually never heard of this.. only exception might be if there was a poor WiFi or Mobile Data connection.. but even then they should still open immediately.. might just have to wait for the information if it was a connectivity issue.
If you're using Samsung's One UI Home or Nova Launcher (which I use), go to Settings > Apps Search for the Launcher you are using & Click on Storage & Clear ONLY the Cache & Reboot.. see if that works for you?
It's especially odd because it's happening on both your Samsung devices.
There's no such issues with Widgets on either my S20 Ultra One UI V6.0, or my S23 Ultra One UI V6.1.
