Honestly, I really hope not. A lot of those features ONLY tie into Googles products and services.
Some of us Galaxy device owners and Samsung product owners choose NOT to use Google's full suite of products and services.
Personally: I use AndroidOS, Some of Googles services that's tied into AndroidOS that can not be changed* I use Google Maps, PlayStore, and backup service sparingly. Buts that's all.
Looking at reviews and comments, seems like a lot or some of the features are tied to the Google photos app. So you could explore that. I'm not sure which ones are as I have no interest in trying out Google photos but it is an option if it's something you want.
