Purchased Fold4 512gb last december 2022 and i tried to replace the screen protector last december 2023 since the center screen of the protector already have bubbles, so i go to samsung service center last december to fix it they gave me a reference number and advise me that they goin to call me once they have the screen protector but a month has passed no one called me and after i came back from a month of duty outside the country i go to service center again to follow up, my fold4 is working fine upon surrendering it to change the screen protector, then the tech showed me that theres a dead pixel at the center of the fold, and asked me to continue installation of screen protector, so i said yes..
Screen protector installed and the technician told me not to install the metallic case cause he thinks thats the one making the dirts inside the fone, i still disagree and told him to install the case..
After i left the service center i check the screen still good, then i tried to show it to my wife the screen suddenly cracked at the center.. then tried to go back to service center and they keep me tellin that the casing was the culprit 😅
Then ask them how much if im goin to pay for the broken screen, and told me almost $600 or PHP30kplus for the screen 😅
That is the reason why i dont like flip and fold, durability issue. How many times will you close/open that unit, so the problem is always with the center mechanism. Aesthetics as well is not good for me, fold looks like a tablet and flip loooks like a ladies makeup kit. I prefer s24 ultra which im using now.
I like portability of fold but i think the screen have expiration, even i seldom use the inner screen only if i need to open the manuals in the field.. i also have a metal casing and protective hinge since i bought the fone 🤣 i will now stick to tablet and laptop not to handy though.. 😂 yeah im using s24ultra also but i will miss the portability of fold fone.. 😅
