Hello,

After numerous attempts of helping my friend, we were finally was able to purchase the fold with the trade-in offer using Asurion.

We had a couple of trade-in ID's with one finally working, however I noticed that my credit card was charged for a trade-in ID that was never used/checked out with.

Does anyone know who I can contact to have this charge reversed? Cant believe they can just charge the account without finalising the checkout!

You can check the status of your tradein code here https://samsungtradeup.asurion.com.au/

If it's still unused, you can cancel it from there. Or wait until the code expires, that placeholder charged will be reverted from your account.

If it's already showing as used, but you really haven't placed an order then you can contact them by sending email at

Thanks, it says it's used and there is a security charge but we did a whole new one.

The whole purchase experience was excruciating and I'm a new Samsung customer. Argh

Have sent them an email.

Hi Claudette,

I am still waiting to hear back from the Asurion team?

I am not sure what to do, I was thinking of raising a dispute on my credit card for the charges.

I also have not recieved the return label either

I have had problems trying to preorder the Samsung Tablet S9, it wouldn't work with a trade in. Have complained to various Samsung departments including Asurion.
The response was to cancel and try again. But still have the same problem.
Just had a phone call from Samsung Experience who advised me nothing can be done.
Very disappointing.
I have sent a email not expecting any resolution.
Missed out on the trade in credit 😪
