Fingerprint Notification Gesture Removed

The gesture to swipe down on the fingerprint sensor to show the notification panel at any time has been removed in OneUI 5.1.1 on the Fold 5.

This gesture was available and working well in OneUI 5.1 on my old Fold 4. I used the gesture all the time and it was a great user experience feature. This never should been removed on the Fold 5.

The suggestion the agent gave in the attached screenshot to return to the home screen and use the swipe down gesture from there is not a reasonable option.

Please bring this gesture back in an update soon.

Bummer:( I just got the z fold 5 as an insurance replacement and I fricken LOVED and relied on the fingerprint swipe down feature 😢. I also used it all the time when I had my Note 9 before my zfold 4. Soo lame to have gotten rid of it. 

Please Samsung bring it back!!

It was so clutch for one handed usability. Maybe also implement a way to use it to scroll web pages too! That would be so clutch!

Just upgraded from Fold 4 to Fold 6 and really disappointed this has disappeared please bring it back :(

I just moved from fold4 to fold6 and this feature was the First thing that I tried to enable. I'm really disappointed about this removal. It really doesn't makes sense why remove a so useful feature like that.

100%. The only thing I regretted about going from the 4 to the 5. Sad to see it continues with the 6.

This feature was a habit of mine on the Fold 4. Went to S24 Ultra for a bit, and after returning to Fold 6 now, I have been swiping down on the finger sensor to no avail.

I am very unhappy this got removed (moving from a Fold 4 to a Fold 5). This is a very convenient feature. The "workaround" to use a swipe gesture that only works in the home screen is not a workaround.

This feature was most useful when you're in an app, maybe even a full screen one like a game, and wanted to have a quick look at the notifications.
