Flip 3 turns off after closing.

Hello,

I have the Flip 3. For over a week now I have been having this issue. When I close the phone it turns off. Doesn't happen all the time, has happened not long after phone has been fully charged and as low as 20%. When I turn the phone back on it will power up sometimes and start properly, but as soon as I close it again it turns off. Once powered up if I restart the phone it can stay on for a while, maybe 4 hours +, before I have the issue again.

 I have been to a Samsung store today where they ran some tests on the battery but didn't find an issue. They recommended against sending it in as the phone would most likely be sent back with no issues found.  They explained about sending in an error report through the app, which I have done now.

Unfortunately I have now suffered this fate. My Flip3 started intermittently started turning itself off on closing and the problem got more and more frequent. I have returned it to samsung who will not repair or even it unless i pay almost 1k to bring the phone back to warranty condition. They will not even diagnose the fault unless i pay the firdt £30. I have a genuine fault with a flagship samsung phone through no fault of my own and they will not help. Its a discrace and I feel so let down.

Based on what you've described, I recommend for you to head into your nearest authorised service centre with your proof of purchase so that we can take a closer look into this. Please be aware that due to our Privacy Policy, your device may be factory reset before being assessed. I highly recommend backing up your device via Smart Switch, OneDrive and/or Google to ensure none of your data is lost.

I started facing this problem today, turning off when I open or close the lid a few times, the charger doesn't happen, Samsung doesn't find any problems, sent it to an authorized dealer 3 times and no solution.

Thanks for reaching out. I suggest sending an error report within 2-3 minutes of the issue occurring for this to be investigated by our research and development team. Error reports assist with identifying any deviations in your device performance. Once analysed, our team will get back to you with a response to advise further steps.

To send an error report:
Samsung Members app > Support > Error reports > select issue category > Describe issue and frequency > Tick ‘Send system log data’ > ‘Send’ in top right.

Guys Run #samsungsucks in every social media otherwise they will not give any solution they are ignoring us like we does not matter they are so selfish, it happens after updates

I have purchased flip3 from noon Dubai UAE and after first week I m facing many problems eg voice is not going to other end and now it's switched off after folding it . Samsung India is not giving services even phone is under warranty. Kindly guide what to do and what details should I share
