Flip 4 cracked in less than 5 weeks ACCC

So ordered flip 4 or release 

Took 4 weeks to arrive at my door 

Finally happy to get it

4.5 weeks later as opening my phone I herd a glass braking noise, opened the phone to find cracked straight across the hinge 

Borrowed friends phone sent it back to samsung 

Told they will repair but won't refund or give credit to another phone. Not interested in repair as samsung don't have these things right yet and cracking is enviable 

After the 3rd email of samsung refusing to credit I've reported to ACCC, any one else had bad experience with samsungs lack of care with customer warranty?

Ouch.. hope you will get it resolved.

Edit: if they say you need to send it to them for assessment, make sure to take photos and videos of all angles, until you boxed it or put in a satchel. This is to have proof in case they go back and say there's a damaged on the body that causes the crack.

Thanks, I have sent it back and that's exactly what they said (standard samsung protocol) i have movie and about 20 pics of the photo to show its still brand new bar the crack on to fold
