If you like to keep your phones for as long as you can, then this is a tip for you!

Considering batteries are now glued safely in your phone, it's important that you look after it. Poor charging will reduce the battery life considerably. One way this can happen is through prolonged charging at 100%

Turn on Protect Battery and this will charge your phone to a maximum of 85%. So even if you kept your phone charging, your battery will still be ok!

Why is that? How does charging to 85% prolong battery life.

Batteries get stressed at extremes.

Hot, cold
Depleting to 0 and fully charging to 100% constantly (one off is ok)

Keeping the battery at 30-85% will degrade it slower than otherwise.

Mind you, how you charge the phone is only a part of it. How you use your phone will have an impact on battery health too.

Honestly though, just turn this on and enjoy your phone. Turn this off when you're travelling!
