so I recently had to reinstall windows 11 on my computer. And now I've noticed that when I plugged my Samsung galaxy z flip6 I'm getting an MTP driver error. so so it's not showing up when I try to use SmartSwitch to back it up. yet if I connect it using the exact same cable. The PhoneLink app works fine. I even tried using Samsung flow and theirs no issue with that either
We’re sorry to hear about this issue. Since Phone Link and Samsung Flow are working, the cable and connection are fine this points to an MTP driver issue on Windows. Please try reinstalling the MTP driver via Device Manager and then reconnect your phone. We also recommend installing the latest Smart Switch for PC, as it includes the necessary drivers.
If the issue persists, please check your phone’s USB preferences (set to File Transfer/MTP) and try a different USB port.
