Multi-Active Windows

Multi-window supports top/bottom and left/right split Multi-Active Window to enhance the multi-tasking experience with limited apps. It allows you to run up to three apps at the same time and gives you the options: Split-screen view and Pop-up view. 

Split-screen view: Top/Bottom

Split-screen view: Left/Right

How come multiscreen now closes all apps since the update, instead of just the one you're on like it used to!!!

I am using the home button. Sorry I should have added I'm using the S21+ so I cant find an option to close one app.

My understanding is that this is the concept of the OS. I raised this previously and the experts advised of the concept change.

To only close 1 of the apps, I find it easy to just to tap the icon I highlighted and press X
