Are you excited to get your hands on the latest Samsung flagship Z series?
Here is my quick review on the both Z Fold3 and Z Flip3.
Both foldable Z series are built with what Samsung call armor aluminium frame, outer gorilla glass victus and new protective film which is 80% more durable. Finally both Fold3 and Flip3 are now having IPX8 water resistance.
Both devices are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G chip and running Android 11 with Samsung OneUI.
What are the differences between this two phones beside their form factor?
Lets dive deeper on these two phones.
Galaxy Z Fold3
We have 3 colour options for Fold3 which are phantom black, phantom green and phantom silver.
Now we have a larger 6.2 inch cover display with 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. When folded open, you are looking at a massive 7.6 inch display.
One thing you will notice when folding this phone open, there is no more punch out on the screen. Finally we see the first Samsung phone to have an under display camera. It has 4 megapixel under display camera while on the cover display there is a punch out 10 megapixel selfie camera. Rear facing camera is a triple 12 megapixel camera setup (ultrawide + primary + telephoto).
Fold 3 comes with 12GB RAM with two internal storage options 256GB and 512GB.
In term of battery, Fold3 is equiped with 4400mAh dual batteries.
One special feature that Fold3 has which Flip3 does not, is the support for the S Pen (does not come in the box) but this is not the same S Pen we see on Note and Tab S series. Fold3 is compatible with two different types of S Pens which are Fold Edition and S Pen Pro.

More playful colours are offered for Flip3 such as cream, green, lavender and phantom black. Additionnally there are 3 more colours gray, white and pink which are exclusively available in Samsung.com.
Cover display on Flip3 is 1.9 inch which is significantly larger than the previous model. You can utilize your bigger cover display as viewfinder for the camera and place different widgets on it.
Flip3 main display is a 6.7 inch when is folded open and as well with 120 adaptive refresh rate.
Front facing camera is the same as Fold3 punch out 10 megapixel selfie camera. On Flip3 we have dual 12 megapixel rear facing camera setup (ultrawide + primary).
Flip3 comes with a lower 8GB RAM with two internal storage options 128GB and 256GB while it has 3300mAh dual batteries.
Highlight on the Flip3 is the "Flex Mode" where you can use this phone partially opened to watch YouTube, take selfie or do video call hands-free.

In my opinion Fold3 is for those who love multitasking on a big screen but do not want to carry their tablet anywhere they go. Plus with the S Pen support on the Fold3, you can now draw and take note on this larger screen.
For Flip3 with its playful colour options, it is clearly for those who loves to bring a small phone in their pocket or bag but yet still look stylish and fun. I can see Flip3 as a fashion statement.
