I am gradually getting into the guts of the system and have come across something I find quite odd.

I like to run what I call a lean and clean machine, which comes from being a computer user since the early '80s. Yes, I'm that old and experienced!
Today I was in My Files and checked the Manage Storage setting to see if I could clean out some extraneous files. I am attaching three screenshots re the Large files (more than 25Mb), in the first shot it is right at the bottom.
The second shot shows the message/instruction at the top of the UI. The third shot shows the Details of one of the 13 files shown in the list.
I need to tell you that each of the 13 files is currently located in my OneDrive account.
What I would like to know is:
1. why do these files appear in the Manage Storage setting on my phone since I have not downloaded them, and
2. what would happen if I selected all these files to delete? Would that result in those files also being deleted in my OneDrive?
There is no reason for me to move those files anywhere else, as they reside where they need to be.
