Hello there! CyrineDave,

Thanks for sharing your gaming experience with your beloved Samsung Galaxy A52s having issues with the touch problem while playing NBA2k version 2k20I feel and understand your anxiety for the device and gaming app you've cared so much. If my device is facing similar experience, I will get worried too.

Before you try out the below recommendations as to your solution, be sure to check if your device's software and related apps are updated too with the latest version. Please check how to update your mobile device's software in the following order.

Step 1. Go to Settings > Software update.

Step 2. Tap on Download and install

Step 3. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Step 4. Restart your device.

 

Perform Clear Cache Partition.

 
Step 1. Turn off your phone.
 
Step 2. Plug in the USB cable via PC or Type-C earphones (in case its USB-C to USB-C).
 
Step 3. Then press and hold Power and Volume up buttons.
 
Step 4. Release the power button. When the recovery screen shows up, release the volume up button.
 
Step 5. Navigate to and select Wipe cache partition (Volume up and down is for highlighting options and power is to select).
 
Step 6. Navigate to and select Yes.
 
Step 7. Press the power button to select Reboot system now.
 
 
Boot a Samsung device into Safe Mode:
 
If your phone is misbehaving, it's possible that a third-party app is causing the issue. To figure out what app is acting funny, you can use the Safe Mode feature. In Safe Mode, your phone won't run any third-party apps. This allows you to easily identity and remove the app that may be causing the problem.
 

Step 1. Turn the device off by holding the Power button until the option to Power Off appears on the screen. Tap Power off.

Step 2. Press and hold the Power and the Volume Down buttons at the same time, to turn the device on. When you see the Samsung logo appear on the screen, you can let go of the Power button while the device boots up. Make sure to keep holding the Volume Down button.

Step 3. If done correctly, 'Safe Mode' will display on the bottom left corner of the screen. If 'Safe Mode' does not appear, repeat the steps above.

Step 4. Once you're in Safe Mode, you can remove the third-party app that is causing issues on your phone.

Exit Safe Mode

To exit Safe Mode, simply restart your phone and it will reboot normally. You can also enter Safe Mode by pressing the Power key, touching and holding the Power off icon, and then touching the Safe Mode icon.

If that doesn't solve the issue, you may submit an error report through the Samsung Members app as follows:

 

Step 1. Launch the Samsung Members app, and then tap the Support icon for more options.

Step 2. Scroll and select Error reports.

Step 3. Choose a category of your concern. Select "Sensor/Touch" and "Others".

Step 4. Choose the frequency of the issue you are experiencing. Enter issue details or attach a video or screenshot. Then press Send icons to complete the report.

And if the issue persists, you may bring your device to the nearest Samsung Authorized Service Center in your area. Hey CyrineDave,

What touch problems are you experiencing? 

Touch problems may either be caused externally (moist / oily / smudged fingers), internally (hardware damage), or software. If the touch controls only malfunction when playing 2K however, then I think the problem might be with the game and not your device.

Try other games and see if touch controls work fine - or just try using your phone as usual and observe if you experience any touch issues. You can also run the diagnostics tool on your Samsung Members app from the Support tab to run a complete test on your screen.

If you determine that you do indeed have hardware failure, please bring your device to your nearest Samsung Service Center for repair :)

I have the same problem with NBA2K on my Galaxy device, the touch screen is intermittent, especially when dragging or space waves. Not sure if this is a bug with the game or a Samsung software compatibility. Has anyone tried to fix it?
