As much as we want to reduce lag, there are times we need to consider the limits of the processor. The chip will throttle (slowdown) because of the heavy workload. Without the throttle safeguard, the device will be susceptible to very high temperatures, reducing its lifespan.
Add to that the continuous updates of those games which are already resource heavy and what you get is a poorly optimized game overall. That is how it goes.
You're better off reducing the game's resource requirement by lowering the graphical quality and fps target.
Disabling GOS comes with risks, game performance may improve but your phone will heat up more and a chance to burn your phone's chipset since there will be no software that will throttle down your phone to cooldown.
Once the chipset is burned, rip phone, you will need to buy a new phone.
