Di ko alam ano gamit mo phone, pero dun sa dati kong Samsung Phone, may notice sya na lalabas saying the device is heating up because of the app you are currently using. Parang warning na sya nun na ibig sabihin i close mo na yung app to prevent damage sa battery mo.

Depends on your device what version of the variant and the variants, themselves. For the newer S21 series, the Exynos outperforms the Snapdragon with an increase of 1% percent in temperature (Celsius) in comparison with the Snapdragon variant — as per my S21 Ultra device. The old Exynos phones from S8 to S20 series, they're all inferior to the Snapdragon counterpart in both performance and temperature, so if you have heating issues, it's best to play in a cold environment, lower graphical settings or with an attachable phone cooler with those older series.

The S21 Exynos has good thermals compared to last year's model but throttles greatly on prolonged used. That is precisely the reason temp tests look great, because the the chip throttles earlier to preserve conducive temps. The Snapdragon, meanwhile, can handle heavy performance and high temps much longer. And even when both of them throttle, the amount of reduced performance still favor the Snapdragon variant. Perhaps the temp control of exynos works to prevent overheating but sometimes it becomes too excessive to the point that the device bombards the user with warnings left and right. Case in point; the various threads here regarding overheating exynos S21 ultras.
