I understand the importance of the Amber Alerts, but can't I mute them when I go to sleep. I drive some very nasty stuff as a transport driver. I require my sleep to be safe. Being woken up multiple times is NOT safe.

Sorry, can't turn off. Forced to sound. The only solution is turn off your phone or put your phone in flight mode when sleeping.

You can turn it off if you open up messaging, settings, then navigate to emergency alert . Sleep is more important than the safety of a child

@Sully - are you sure you can turn it off? I turned off everything under emergency settings, my phone still got alert. Even I was in NY, got forced to receiced alert. 🤔

If you're in Do Not Disturb mode, or all of your sounds are silent, they will not alarm. They will vibrate if you have calls/alerts set to vibrate only.
