I'm thinking of updating my phone (a5
2017) with android 10 from one of the xda devs.wondering about the level of difficulty, what I lose other than all the bloatware, chance's of bricking my phone and any other problems I might encounter. Also security and the availability of apps i can install.

Better to go to XDA for all that. More experienced users there that will be knowledgeable than here.

Yes, agree with Vic20. Join the XDA forum. There are lots of people good at flashing firmware. Good luck.

< virgin and the phone is 4 yrs old.I was hoping Chmultimedia would chime in with his thoughts as well.
