Hi everyone, I just bought my first Samsung phone, the Galaxy S21 5G. I've been hearing about the green line issue and was wondering how I can avoid or prevent this from happening. Any advice would be appreciated

the key is heat, never let your phone getting too hot

so my little advice, first turn off fast charging (btw i only use fast charging when i desperately need to use my phone, it's rare btw) also use wired cable is cooler than wireless one, then you can also use 60 Hz refresh rate because 120 Hz will make your phone feel warmer easily, then put LTE as your maximum data connection (only use 5G if you need blazing fast download speed), when charging or updating your phone please take off phone casing then you can put back off when you fully charge your phone or finished the software update

well after all these are just advice, you can use your phone whatever you like, i can't guarantee all my advice can completely prevent you from greenline, but at least can reduce the odds

do not play games continuously especially high demanding games. do not expose the phone to direct sunlight for several hours. do not use the phone while charging (you may still use it if necessary). In short avoid the phone from exposing to heat for long.

Also, when updating, prepare a fan or update your phone in cool room.

Why did you buy s21? Didnt you know that s22 and below models are prone to green lines. No matter how you protect, problem is hardware and software compatibility thats why these green lines usually appears after software update. If you will do not to update your unit, you may do so but i suggest not to install any monetary app coz your unit will be vulnerable to scammers.

If you have more budget i suggest you trade-in that unit to s24 or s25. Its better to be safe than never.

I'm on a tight budget since I'm just a student, and I got this phone for only $200. Based on your suggestion, do you think I should sell it and buy another phone? I'm considering a Pixel phone.
