Phone calls blocked

Im wondering if anyone knows why a blocked phone number can still call and leave voicemails? I just dont hear when they call.

yeah they can. if you want a real block where it just comes up as busy you'll have to call your provider for that. what it does when you block a number with your phone just doesn't allow your phone to ring or show the number but if you check your call log it will show the blocked numbers

Please note that as mentioned by vape, Voicemail is hosted by your carrier. If you don't want blocked numbers to leave voicemails, you will have to get them blocked by your carrier.

How can I block my number on an outgoing call
