OthersGurus, help!
The headband and cups of my beloved, costly Audeze Penrose headphones are made of incredibly soft pleather, however the faux leather is currently falling off. I maintain it in a room with controlled humidity and temperature, but nothing. I suppose it could be wear and tear.
I checked the sponge foam underneath and it appears to be in fine condition, with no tears or rips. However, I can't bear the black faux plastic garbage peeling off all over my head because I'm so careful with my own equipment.
Since there is no part to fix this, Audeze can sell me replacement cup covers, but I need help fixing it or a headband cover from McGuyer to protect the foam insert.
I'd prefer a REAL leather cover for a longer lifespan, but I'd welcome any ideas. I was considering covering a piece of material with velcro and stitching that on. I was advised to use a brand-new, natural cotton sock cover.
