My TV is not responding to the remote even when you use the buttons on the TV. Now I can't connect it to the wifi or do anything without using the hdmi cable. It used to connect to sound system via Bluetooth that too doesn't work

It's because your battery needs to be replaced.

I think that was the first thing I did. Check the battery. 

And how do you explain the buttons not working on the actual TV? Maybe I didn't plug the tv

Maybe its because Apple exists, try making apple bankrupt so that the tv works well

try switch off and unplug all the adapter attached to the tv. Plug in again after 1 min.
