What are you expecting out of Samsung's version of Android 12?

I noticed a slew of threads (at least a couple a week) here asking when is Android 12 coming or if it's even coming to their device.

But here's a question. Besides the mostly publicized "Material You" that Google is touting as its most defining feature, what else are you expecting out of Samsung's One UI version of Android 12? And what do you think needs to be out?

For me, I hope they just integrate Good lock and its modules to One UI permanently. No more need to install modules and do the various workarounds like VPN or alternate apps. The geo-restriction should be lifted already. As for android 12's features, they're good. Especially the optimizations and low memory it needs. The adaptive color scheme is a little meh for me since I use a live wallpaper that changes colors frequently. The adaptive icons look cool too. But what would make it even better is if Samsung would let us use 3rd party icon packs inside One UI home.

As for things that I want out, well those chunky buttons are a little offputting but instead of removing it outright, perhaps offer the option of choosing between the old look and the new look so other's could have a fallback just in case. That's all.

When you look at it, most of Android 12's features already exist within One UI. I hope they continue to do it this way, innovate ahead of Google with new features. Without realizing it, Samsung users have been beta testing most of Android 12's new features like for example the Scrolling screenshot.

So what are your thoughts about this?

right you have a point in what you said samsung should put it in the feature of the android 12 along with the new one ui version and they should also put the ones that can work on ips lcd display apps like most of samsung bixby, samsung free, ar zone, and settings not on one ui core except always on display, indisplay fingerprint, charging information, hopefully they also put screen mode on ips lcd display and camera modes.

I'm wishing they'll polish more of their animations, even to the smallest details. One UI should also adhere more to their design philosophy about One Handed Usage: make more apps and buttons more reachable to minimize thumb/finger stretching. Through the years, more and more features from Goodlock are being integrated to the system, so this could be another thing to expect. But anytime, they could just open the gates to other countries for Goodlock to be available. What I'm excited though is how Samsung will implement Material You to One UI, and if they'll incorporate adaptive icons since not all features from previous Android versions are carried to One UI.

An addendum. You know what would be better? Eliminate Good lock completely and just integrate all it's modules in One UI. That would be the ultimate pro gamer move right there lol.

Well put and amen to all these! I also read that A12 is improving the gaming experience ala Sammy's game booster/plugins, which I'm happy to be enjoying now. Hope there'll be under the hood improvements though, regardless if coming from Google or Sammy
