Why are the Canadian offers for promotions horrible compared to USA? Why not offer the same upgrade for all options, 256gb/512gb/1tb? Why not offer the samsung galaxy buds pro 2 for free as well? We get offered galaxy buds 2. There are promotional codes ($50 CAD vs $150 USD) in the states that are significantly better as well. It is a significantly better deal to buy the phone in the US, instead of Canada. Should we not bother buying the phone in Canada to get a much better deal?
The prices being charged for phones are absolutely insane (I doubt your are paying your employees more, and you give less and less, no charging block, etc). I am sure the upgrade costs are marginal, especially for preorder sales. So there should be great incentives for those who preorder the phone regardless of any issues that may arise with the phones.
There have mainly been software upgrades, with minimal hardware upgrades. And a lot of the, main features/selling points that were hyped up, you plan on charging people for the "free" features after a year or two once they spend their time helping you developing the very thing you are going to be charging them for. Thanks for your valuing your customers. This is similar to charging customers who pay crazy prices for a vehicle, but need a subscription to use their heated seats. Will we have to pay to adjust the screen brightness next year? Unlock the highest resolution on our phone?

I have the same uncomfortable feelings as well after I came back home Ottawa a couple of years ago and started to work/order with/from samsung Canada. Each year, the promotions in the US are much better than Canada, and the trade-in value in the US is better than Canada too.

Also, in terms of storage, 256GB/512GB/1TB. When you use the 200MP camera, or record using the 8K or UHD 60 fps, the photos and videos consume insane amounts of space. I am lucky I have the 512GB version, because I would have been even more angry that I have a phone that gets filled up in no time if I had the 256GB. The 256GB is essentially useless. I would assume they hope the person uses cloud storage to compensate for how horrible the storage options are. And the phone gets incredibly hot when using the highest quality settings. This is probably why they increased the size of the vapour chamber. Samsung advertised how you can film movies with these phones. If you had a 256GB even the 512GB would be pushing it. You would fill up your storage in less than a day if you had to film a high resolution video all day. You would need a computer with a high capacity external harddrive or a lot of cloud storage to empty your phones storage all the time. This also consumes an insane amount of battery, so you would need the phone to be charging the entire time, unless you had a feature to bypass the battery and just power the hardware directly.

Also, due to the point I made reagarding battery consuption while using the 200MP camera or 8k/UHD 60fps. It is surprising to see no increase in the battery capacity. Having it double in size would be reasonable, especially if you planned on using 8k camera to filming family memories, trips, special events, etc. Or there would need to be massive improvements in efficiency. It has been years since an increase in battery capacity.

Overall, it would be great if Samsung offered quality promotions, especially for preorders and an all round great ultra phone, instead of just hyping up features, that when actually trying to use those features, turns out to be impractical, making those market claims seem gimmicky.

This is nothing new guys, Samsung's response will be as always that the percentage of users to population is no where close to the states and this is why the good old US of A will always gets better promotions.

Unfortunately, it has been proven time and time again that Samsung.ca really doesn't care for their Canadian customers in the big scheme of things. We are a very small piece of the world global market with no-one from Samsung Canada looking after our interests or voicing our opinions and concerns.

That being said we really need Samsung Canada to step up to the plate on these type of issues as well as the horror stories you hear from members concerning ordering devices especially after unpacked events, also Samsung Canada customer service needs to be addressed, I am loyal to Samsung devices but unfortunately for us/me we live in Canada so not loyal to Samsung Canada.

We are insignificant as far as user base when compared to the USA. That's it, and why it won't change.

It's because they know we still gonna buy it. Companies have people who do the stats on these kinds of things. We are just sucker's in Canada. And we let it happen to us. Not just Samsung, so many things that are the same brand same model cost quite a bit more in the true north

Yes I agree, it costs us more and moreover our orders are delayed.

Even today I hear people in US are getting devices quicker than Canada people who did preorders . This is very insane from Samsung Canada. They just don't care about Canadians anymore.
