Is RCS available on Samsung messages?

I'm using a factory unlocked note 9 on AT&T.

I read some comments online suggesting that RCS works on Samsung's Messages app, but I'm not able to find that feature. Is it really available? I prefer Samsung's app to Google's.

I investigated/tested this a while ago.. Rcs is provided by your communication carrier(e.g. at&t) not thru Samsung. And to get it you need their regular contract plans not the pre paid plans. there's plans/news/info on the web on carriers joining together to bring this to the masses... and there's workarounds thru google Messenger developers option.

Android message supports RCS if your willing to use it. but from my understanding chat from native messanger does not work with unlocked phones.
