Because that's the way Google made it. Google just recently enabled their gesture navigation on 3rd party launchers for their pixel phones. I'm sure Samsung will also allow it at some point.
what new gestures? I'm still using Nova with full screen gestures and have no issues. Are you referring to the native Google weird gestures that Pixel is using?
I see what you mean. That looks like the goofy native Android gesture setup. I don't care for them personally. ive been trying to use them on my other phone and I just can't. personal preference I suppose.
