I'm using a usb-c hub plugged into my (unsupported) tv via HDMI cord and the screen has shifted to the right and the portion of the screen that was cut off has been moved to the left side of the screen. (the section that should be blank because of the shift.) Is there anyway to fix it on the phone? I have lost the remote for the tv and can't access the settings anymore.
First, it is possible that you may be able to access the settings from the few buttons you have. Google for the manual. Second, there are several apps in Play Store (and elsewhere) which allow you to convert your phone to use as a remote. It needs a bit of reading to check if a particular app is likely to relate to your tv. Third, you can buy a universal remote for around $15 but, again, check if the one you are buying covers your tv. Also Google "universal remote for e.g. Samsung tv" these tend to cost more like $30 + as opposed to the standard universal remotes.
