If you want a absolutely brilliant app for stargazing and to work out in advance, what time, place and what angle to take 'THAT' shot, you should try PHOTOPILL. I got the Paid version which cost me about $12, and it's worth it. It can tell you where the planets are, meteors, Milky Way, nebula etc from any location in the world. The location information even uses seconds...that is how accurate the app is. There is also a 3D virtual view of the stellar' bodies that in on your phone.
